Mr. Ahmed Arefin FCA

Managing Director

Mr. Ahmed Arefin FCA joined EBL Investments Limited (EBLIL) in 2021 as the Managing Director. Before joining to EBLIL, Mr. Arefin was the Managing Director of EBL Asset Management Limited. Mr. Arefin has more than 18 years’ experience in the financial sector including Banks & Capital Market. 

Mr. Arefin completed his BBA (major in Accounting & Information Systems) from Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka. He is the Fellow Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). 

H. A. Mamun

Senior Vice President & Head of Corporate Advisory (Investment Banking)

H. A. Mamun is a seasoned investment banking professional with over 17 years of experience in Bangladesh’s capital market, with extensive expertise across Investment Banking, Corporate Advisory, Equity Capital Market (ECM), Debt Capital Market (DCM), Issue Management, M&A, and structured financing.

Prior to joining EBL Investments Limited, he served as Vice President at UCB Investment Limited, where he led the Equity Capital Market function and advised corporates and financial institutions on a wide range of capital-raising and strategic transactions.

His professional experience covers IPOs, Rights Issues, Bonds, Preference Shares, Underwriting, M&A, Corporate Advisory, and strategic financing solutions. He has extensive experience in transaction structuring, client relationship management, regulatory affairs, business development, and the execution of complex capital market transactions.

Mr. Mamun holds a Master of Applied Mathematics from the University of Chittagong and an MBA in Finance from the University of Dhaka. At EBL Investments Limited, he leads the Investment Banking function, overseeing Corporate Advisory, Equity Capital Market, Debt Capital Market, and other investment banking activities, with a focus on strategic advisory, business origination, client relationships, and innovative financing and capital-raising solutions.

Mr. Omar Faroque Riyad

Head of Operations & HR

Mr. Omar Faroque Riyad has been working in EBL Investments Ltd. as Head of Operations & HR since March 2022. Mr. Riyad has more than 12 years’ experience in operations of Merchant bank. Mr. Riyad started his career with EBL Investments Ltd in 2013. 

Mr. Riyad obtained MBA from American International University of Bangladesh (AIUB). Mr. Riyad has participated in numerous seminars and training programs related to the capital market rules and regulations.
