Mr. Ahmed Arefin FCA

Managing Director

Mr. Ahmed Arefin FCA joined EBL Investments Limited (EBLIL) in 2021 as the Managing Director. Before joining to EBLIL, Mr. Arefin was the Managing Director of EBL Asset Management Limited. Mr. Arefin has more than 15 years’ experience in the financial sector including Banks & Capital Market.

Mr. Arefin completed his BBA (major in Accounting & Information Systems) from Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka. He is the Fellow Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB).

Mr. Omar Faroque Riyad

Head of Operations & HR

Mr. Omar Faroque Riyad has been working in EBL Investments Ltd. as Head of Operations & HR since March 2022. Mr. Riyad has more than 09 (Nine) years experience in operations of Merchant bank. Mr. Riyad started his career with EBL Investments Ltd in 2013.

Mr. Riyad obtained MBA from American International University of Bangladesh (AIUB). Mr. Riyad has participated in numerous seminars and training programs related to the capital market rules and regulations.

Md. Nurul Hoque

In-Charge, Corporate Advisory

Md. Nurul Hoque has 7 years of professional experience in Investment Banking, Project and Syndicated Finance. Prior to joining the company, he worked as Relationship Manager at Project, Structured and Sustainable Finance Department in LankaBangla Finance Limited, one of the leading Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) in Bangladesh. Before that, he was in the Project Finance team of Orion Group and in the Finance team of RahimAfrooz, two leading business conglomerates of Bangladesh.

Throughout his career, Mr. Hoque gained in-depth knowledge and expertise in designing/structuring innovative financing solutions through debt, equity as well as alternative structured products. Besides, he developed a good rapport with various stakeholders in the industry.

Mr. Hoque earned his BBA and MBA from University of Dhaka major in Finance. Besides, he has completed master’s degree in Development Economics from University of Dhaka and MicroMasters in Data, Economics, and Development Policy from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. He has also received training from many reputed organizations on Capital Raising, Public Private Partnership (PPP), Project Finance & Financial Modeling as well as Negotiation Skills & Leadership Development.

Moumita Manzoor

Compliance Officer

Ms. Moumita Manzoor has over 12 years of experience in the Capital Market of Bangladesh and team leadership skills at various levels of organizational structure. Ms. Manzoor is the Compliance Officer at EBL Investments Limited. Before joining EBLIL, she worked with Alliance Capital Asset Management Limited and IDLC Securities Limited. Ms. Manzoor started her career with IDLC Securities Limited and served for 7+ years. Her area of key expertise are compliance, corporate and business regulatory affairs, corporate governance, operations, portfolio management, and capacity building.

She has completed her MBA major in Finance from the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka. She also completed Master of Development Studies (MDS) from BRAC University. She has attended many capital market related trainings, investment conferences, roadshows, and seminars.
